Nicole Bano, who would have been 22 when she gave birth to the future president-elect, told Buzzfeed News that the Republican Party has “reached a point where they’re beginning to recognize that it’s a very big deal”
Bano — who would say she was thrilled for the prospect of Trump becoming president if he wins — said the billionaire mogul “can work through some of the problems with the media, and that the government isn’t going to shut down tomorrow” because voters are “not going to start panicking” because of a Trump presidency. She cited Trump’s “competence” as the reason that he could run the country — and then she joked, “He’s the guy whose family can do that!”
Bano is one of several Trump surrogates who have tried to tamp down any concerns that his presidency would be a “disaster.” Trump’s former campaign manager who served as his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski has said Trump is in good hands with his team and that the president-elect is “more of a strategist than anything else.”
In her own interview with Buzzfeed and in her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Bano also said, “If we get [Trump] in, maybe we’ll stop panicking and we’ll get past the crazy.”

Bano, now a Fox News TV commentator, was critical of Trump and his campaign for not having more surrogates who were “more political minded.” Bano said that as the New York real estate mogul was “very controversial himself around the country,” the media was “bimbo-shaming” Trump and his candidacy “like, you know, with the red carpet,” when it was really “about being able to work through the things with the media. And, you know, he really put a lot behind it.”
