Marianna Mira is a famous and controversial writer, known for her articles in several popular magazines such asnant, Seventeen, InStyle, Seventeen, Brides and others. Her books on the subject of motherhood and divorce have sold millions of copies worldwide. Recently, Mira was featured on the cover of Time Magazine with a photograph taken by Mario Testino, which was taken while she and her now ex-husband were in the studio. While speaking with the interviewer, Mira maintained that at one time she was not happy about being a mother and that led to several years’ worth of depression. When asked what she would change about herself if she could change one thing about herself, Marianna said that she would be more positive.
As a writer, Marianna claims to have always wanted to be a mother, but felt inhibited due to various reasons. She was born in Transylvania, in what was then Eastern Europe, where her parents had both German and Russian heritage. She met and married Croatian-American writer, Dr. Josef Mengele during World War II who had been staying in Argentina as a psychiatrist. Mengele was an expert in psycho-analytical psychology and mental pathology. He was not a doctor, but an osteopath and a world famous expert on nutrition and diet.
Margo claimed to have struggled with identity issues all her life, even feeling that she was neither Spanish nor Croatian, but rather both. After the death of her first husband, she changed her name to Marianna Maria until she found her true identity as a mother and nationality. Margo is most famous for conceiving the Nationality Theory, which postulates that many children of foreign mothers tend to end up with nationality identities that are not necessarily their real ones. This has been used to argue against the idea that human reproduction is based on race, ethnicity or genes.
