Ashley Haas was born in Canada but has claimed American and British citizenship. She is an American by choice and nationality, therefore making her eligible for a US visa to reach an American university. Her official birth date is October twentieth, exactly four months after her marriage to Matt Hassler, of Waverly, California. The marriage was performed in Las Vegas, Nevada on the day of their second anniversary, a date which was chosen due to the fact that it was a joyful and happy occasion.
In Ashley’s own words “my husband and I met at UCLA Medical Center when I was twenty years old and six feet tall, so I guess my title is as tall as I would like to be.” While this is definitely true, her height and reach have nothing to do with her choice of partner or profession. It was Matt who said, “You are so pretty and your height may be holding you back from success, which is fine by us. You are very loyal and caring and that is just something that we have both noticed.” Theirs was not a typical happy relationship, as might be expected of a college-aged American by choice.
Matt Hassler was quoted as saying,” Ashley is a really special person, and a big help to our family. If she was not tall, we would not have married her. We have been blessed by God, and we have a strong faith life. We are both Americans by birth, and in that sense, height is not a hindrance.”
