The investigation began when investigators said they heard a car coming up to a home about 2 p.m. on Aug. 22, 2015. A female neighbor told them there was a child living in the home.
Officers went in to the home and found dead bodies of a 17-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl inside.

Police discovered that Gilbert Winters had been drinking in his car. When questioned, he told police that he had killed the female to get revenge on her parents.
His friend Timothy James was released on parole last week.
According to the state of Michigan Department of Corrections, Winters was incarcerated in St. Clair County for charges of murder in the second degree in 2011 and robbery in 2012.
Police say there is no relationship between the victim and the suspect in this case.
