Emine Aquino said President Rodrigo Duterte has made no effort to change the government’s approach in dealing with drug personalities as his public pronouncements against them have continued.

“Pamila, nangyariyan ang pambabait kayo, pero it’s very disappointing that they have yet to make an effort to try and change or change the approach they’ve already been playing,” Aquino said.
‘Don’t even think about arresting me’
Aquino’s statements during the last press conference on April 4 said he has issued five pardons to personalities in narcotics investigation, while the Duterte administration issued seven to them for non-violent drug cases.
He did not rule out that such pardons might be granted to him, but he only said that he would not be giving it a single thought as he is “doing other things.”
He also said he expected a pardon from Attorney General (AG) Vitaliano Aguirre II “very soon,” but the statement was made in passing.
His statements earlier this year against the Duterte administration and the police had already prompted the Anti-Organized Crime Group-3 (AOKG-3), one of the organizations under the Department of Justice’s anti-criminals’ anti-graft (ACG) task force, to lodge a public petition in the Supreme Court.
