Description: Katie Leung is a Scottish actor. At the age of fifteen, she began acting in local Edinburgh productions, later landing roles on TV shows and in commercials. She has appeared in many movies and TV shows including Third Man, Bridget Jones Diary, Midsom, and Angels with Dirty Faces. Her most notable role to date is that of lead character Harry Potter’s love interest, Cho Chang in the Harry Potter movie series.

Career Years: At the age of fifteen, Leong gained recognition as one of the best young actresses in Britain by winning the role of Cho Chang in the Harry Potter movie series. At the age of sixteen, Leong appeared in a British drama series alongside Helena Bonham Carter as a teenage girl who becomes a martial arts expert. At the age of eighteen, she went on to play a leading character in a feature film titled Mother, Lover, Kid, and other credits at the age of nineteen. From this point on, Leong portrayed different roles in various films and TV shows including a love interest for Idris Elba in the hip-hop drama “Luther” and an employee in a modeling agency. At the age of twenty, Leong went back to her native Scotland where she became known as a martial arts expert and studied fencing and jiu-jitsu.

Filmography: As a child, Leong excelled at acting, playing different characters, and learning different languages. At the age of eighteen, she pursued a career in acting and appeared in a number of high profile films, including the film’s Alice in Wonderland, Bridget Jones Diary, and Memento. Later, she appeared in the television series Kung Fu Panda and Harry Potter. After several years of appearing in movies and TV shows, including the remake of Bridget Jones Diary and the animated film Kung Fu Panda, Leong finally settled into a role in her own film, The Mandarin.
