Description Kate Bingaman-Burt has been an artist and teacher with a strong interest in visual communication for most of her life. In fact, she pursued a degree in communication design at the California College of Art. Kate Bingaman-Burt’s artwork has won numerous awards, including the presto award for outstanding debut artist, the scholarships for faculty/staff best artist, as well as the Guggenheim fellowships. As a result of her impressive academic background, Kate Bingaman-Burt has become a professional illustrator and designer, working for different companies.

Although Kate is best known for her illustrations and paintings, her artwork has also been featured on collages and calendars, as well as being used in advertising campaigns for businesses and other local agencies. As an artist, Kate Bingaman-Burt has developed a reputation for creating eye-catching, colorful, textured pieces that are designed to communicate humorously about everyday life. With her career as an illustrator and designer now both complete and open, Kate can pursue a career as a writer or a publisher, or perhaps even a full-time artist and painter.

Heightism is a popular national pastime among Americans of all ages. A lot of people, especially those who are not in the know, have a negative view of it due to Kate Bingaman-burt’s public exposure of her extreme high feet, as well as her association with the Portland community. As such, some have accused her of exploiting people by posing as a “hippie guru” and using her height to sell art. However, Kate has remained firm in her claim that she is merely an average-tall woman who love art, loves meeting new people, and wants to help other people make their lives more interesting and colorful.
