Worst Fashion Trends of the 80s

Do you want to look like everyone on the runways and feel like you have to shave every day because you’re wearing too many clothes? Are you sick of trying all the fashion fads that don’t work and you still spend a fortune on clothes that you’ll never wear? You’ve come to the right place, because I want to share with you some of my worst fashion trends of the 80s, 90s, and today. I want to make it easy for you so you can avoid going into a store and buying the same old fashion style that’s outdated. It’s time for a change!

Let’s start with the neon thingy. I don’t know why neon is a part of fashion but it sure was for the 80s. The neon clothing trend started in the eighties and was very popular among hip-hop artists. The neon pants, tank tops, and tracksuits were hugely popular among artists at the time. Today, you can still find some great neon pieces but you aren’t likely to find any of them in a fashion boutique.

If I had to single out one of the more notorious fashion trends from the decade, it would definitely be the crazy tie-dyed shirt. This trend almost crippled the fashion industry and gave way to more conservative clothing choices for men. However, it was a huge fashion trend that fizzled out after a few years. One year, necktie t-shirts were back but they were not as over the top as they used to be. It was only a matter of time before ties came back with a different edge and became more stylish. I hope these retro fashion tips will help you avoid following in the same footsteps and making the same fashion mistakes that other fashion gurus made in the past!
