Juliana Erazo is an actress with Mexican-American heritage, who is commonly referred to as “Chiquita”. Born in Mexico, she moved to the United States when she was nineteen years old and was a student at UCLA. From there, she went on to play several different characters in television including “Myra Brea”, “Resident Evil” and “Vanity Fair”, though her most notable and popular role would be in the series “24” for which she became an integral part of the show for many years. She has since gone on to act in movies and theatre, including several movies that debuted at Sundance last year, as well as the forthcoming movie “The Night Before”. As with many celebrities, Juliana’s ethnicity is a point of controversy in her acting career, particularly as an Asian-American, however it is important to remember that her career has been far more varied than might be thought.

At the moment, Juliana Erazo is seventy-three years old, and although her face is wrinkled from the many faces she has faced in her acting career, the lines are still firm. Her career has spanned parts of four decades, and she looks in great shape. A bit on the sultry side at times, but not necessarily elderly (she is described by one interviewer as looking ten years older than her actual age), Erazo is known for her longevity. It is not uncommon for women of this age to hold their ground against the demands of celebrity and media demands, and Juliana is no exception.

The other issue that surrounds Juliana’s age is her nationality. Born and raised in Mexico, Juliana is an American of Hispanic heritage. Although she has said that she feels most comfortable being an American rather than a Mexican, it does remain to be seen how long she can keep this nationality up for. Certainly, given her age and the way in which her career has progressed, it is highly likely that she will end up using her birth country title for the rest of her professional life.
