Emilia Hult has been in the headlines recently for all the wrong reasons, and it’s easy to see why. The star of the hit movie “How I Met Your Mother” is currently suing her former spouse for breach of contract, after alleging that her partner cheated on her with another woman. The suit is currently making the rounds in the courts, and Emilia has accused her former husband of ignoring her for years, and of regularly cheating on her. Naturally, this has caused a lot of reaction from Emilia’s fans, with some even travelling to Spain to show her support. Is there any chance that Emilia will ever be able to divorce?
Theoretically speaking, the answer is yes, if both parties are of the same nationality and height. If you have a Dutch, German, Polish, or Russian parent, then you are automatically eligible for nationality, regardless of your height. If you were born in Spain, however, you would not have qualified as a Spanish national, and you would most likely have had to live in Spain for most of your life, before qualifying to apply for nationality through marriage. If you are of an Asian origin, however, the situation can be different – you may still qualify to have a divorce, but it may not be straightforward, and it would require the presence of a witness.
In cases such as these, it is usually the case that both parties are of the same nationality, and that marriage is the only way to ensure nationality. It is more unusual, however, for someone to have two parents of different nationality, and then to marry someone who is also of a different nationality. If this is the case, then it is more usual for the two people to be of the same race, because a white person could marry a black person, for example, without being guilty of racism. However, if both people share descent from a common ancestor who was born in Spain, then the relationship is more likely to be invalid, as race is not a consideration.
