Maya Felix is one of the greatest gymnasts of our times and that’s saying a lot in this day and age where all of gymnastics seem to be dominated by men and women from certain nationalities. This is not to say that there is anything wrong with men or women being gymnasts, but it seems as if the sport is predominantly dominated by men. So it is with Maya, a Puerto Rican actress who is currently making her mark in Hollywood as the new tall celebrity, The Tree of Life.

It seems that many people have the misconception that you need to be an extremely tall athlete or have won a lot of titles at the high school and college level to be able to break into Hollywood as a performer, but that is just not the case at all. In fact, there are many other routes into entertainment that don’t necessarily require you to be a massive person, and this is certainly true of the height chart that most actors, actresses and singers possess these days. So what does this mean for the average height of someone who might aspire to be an actor or actresses? It simply means that you can have a successful career, whether you are slightly taller than the majority of the population or significantly taller than the other people in your shoes. Of course you can break into Hollywood and make a name for yourself without having to worry about your height, but the more famous you become, the more likely it becomes that people are going to realize that you are actually taller than most of them even when you are standing directly next to them.

So what does this have to do with Maya Felix and the height chart? Well, if you look closely at the profession and the film industry itself, you will quickly see that they do cater to height issues as a major consideration in casting their talent. For instance, many of the top acting roles require actors and actresses that are at least a bit taller than the average person, and that they have had some kind of training or acting lessons to make them more physically adept at playing these roles. It is not as though they go out and hand down titles to everyone that is taller than them. They know that if they want to get the best talent, they are going to have to work that little bit harder than the next guy or gal.
