What’s the Difference Between Black Hoodie and a Black T-Shirt?

Silicon Valley, as well as the rest of the country, is known for its amazing breakthroughs in technology and clothing. From computers to iPhones, everything is changing and becoming more hi-tech and trendy. One thing that is not going anywhere any time soon is the Silicon Valley fashion trends. With the exception of a few fashion designers who may dabble in this cutting edge trend, most local high-end clothing stores and boutiques still stick to offering the “old reliable” style.

If you ask most of the local teenagers and hipsters what they think about the new hip hop and rap styles, they will tell you without hesitation that they are all “functional”. In other words, they do not really care if the clothes they wear are fashionable or not; their main concern is that they look cool, which of course is the main goal of all fashion trends. But in Silicon Valley, everyone seems to be walking around with a different message; that it does matter what you’re wearing and that you should be able to make it work with who you are no matter what. However, some of the more trendy and geeky folks in the area, also known as being “Geeky” by many, may have mixed feelings about the new fashion trends.

That’s one of the main differences between the old and the new. While the young people of Silicon Valley can’t really argue with the Facebook generation, many older people find themselves being left behind and feeling left out. That doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have feelings, it means that they are not quite sure how to react to this new and hip look that is taking over the streets and neighborhoods of Silicon Valley. While some older people see this trend as a passing phase, others see it as a disturbing trend and perhaps a sign of the times that are yet to come.
