Caroline Bryan is the author of the newly published book “The Insider’s Guide to the Nationality Files.” This is a thoroughly researched and well-illustrated guide for anyone who is interested in learning more about their own or their loved one’s nationality, as well as their ancestors and their occupation. This volume will serve as a great source of information for those who are interested in genealogy, immigration history, immigration law, immigration statistics, and any other topic that touches upon the lives and livelihoods of those whose ancestors immigrated to America. This is the perfect gift for someone who is interested in such things, or for someone who is interested in family history, genealogy, history of a place, or for just fun. This book will not only be enjoyed by its readers, but also by anyone else who reads it who is interested in learning more about these topics.

The book’s focus is on the question of nationality or ethnicity, especially how important height and educational background are in determining a person’s national identity or nationality. For example, some people do not have parents who were American in origin and thus they end up with the acronym USA which stands for United States of America. Some of our earliest President’s had very little formal education and thus they had very unique ideas and views on many different subjects including nationalities, race, and religion. The book traces the evolution of our nation’s most historical president, George Washington, and examines how his views and principles concerning his national origins and his views on race and religion deeply impacted his life and those of his descendants.

In the end, I believe the main thrust of The Insider’s Guide to the Nationality Files is a call for more respect for the intelligence, choices, and decisions made by people of all nationalities and races. Some may think that such talk is way over the top, but I disagree. I think that all human beings deserve to know their true identities as well as the background and views of their ancestors. Nationality can be a useful and interesting topic when examined in this light.
