Ingrid Pino is a celebrity from the television show called “Romantically Challenged” and she plays a character named Sonia Pino. She is a thirty-two-year-old mother of seven who works as a mortgage broker. Sonia is an extremely good friend and associate of Joanna, played by her friend Camilla Ribeiro. Joanna and Sonia have been friends since they were kids and they spend a lot of time together going on dates and having fun.
However, when Joanna and Sonia find out that Joanna’s younger brother Tony (Daniel Webber) has become a drug addict and is now in jail for fourteen years, it brings bad news for both girls. Ingrid Pino becomes very worried about her daughter because she knows that Joanna is growing up too fast and she can’t do anything about it. As a result, Ingrid Pino decides to take Tony’s case to the next level. She starts to try and get custody of Tony but her efforts are in vain because no court will give custody to her because of their age difference. Ingrid Pino ends up going to a New Age community in order to seek out a partner for herself and her children.
As a result of this, Ingrid Pino starts to date Bobby Valentine, a thirty-one-year-old handyman. However, things go bad after the couple goes out and doesn’t get along at all. Afterward, Joanna realizes that Ingrid Pino has been trying to make her own child like her and so she makes it a point to visit a day care in order to pick out a suitable business partner for her. However, with this new-found awareness of how important this child is to her, Ingrid Pino is very angry that she ruined her chances at having a loving and stable relationship with Bobby Valentine.
