Olivia Muenter was an American occupational therapist who became famous as an actress in the nineteen sixties and seventies. However, her greatest claim to fame was being an Olympic athlete. She won twelve out of twenty-four Olympic games and set a new track and field records. She never won a medal though, as she failed to qualify for the US National Track and Field Games twice. Despite this, she is still known around the world as one of the best and most respected athletes of her time.
Now, we all know that height is not everything when it comes to being a good candidate for an acting profession. Of course, many actors with great height have also been mediocre actors, but it is rare to find someone who is both short and overweight, let alone an actor who is obese and extremely short one. There are many different things that contribute to an actor’s weight and many different reasons why an actor might be overweight or even obese, but Olivia Muenter is different.
Most importantly, she didn’t let being short stop her from being successful in her profession. She trained for and took part in numerous wrestling matches, which can be considered to be an extremely athletic profession, as well as swimming, basketball, martial arts, and many others. She overcame being short by training her whole life to be the very best at whatever activity she chose. And even though she didn’t win the Olympic gold during the 1960’s, she remains one of the all-time favorites in the sport’s history.
