Uma Ashraf
Famed scientist at MIT who made huge breakthroughs in the search for black holes in the early universe, Dr. H.N. Ashraf is the first Pakistani to be an Honorary Member of the International Society of Black Hole Physics. He is also a founding member of the Pakistani Astronomy society, as well as the Pakistan-India Committee of Astronomy. He is currently the director of National Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics on MIT campus and Director of the Center on Astrophysics & Cosmology at MIT. His research at the Pakistani Astronomy society is funded by the Ministry of Higher Education. His research has been supported since 1985 by the Pakistani National Science Foundation. J. Farman Ali Chishti
A Professor in Theology/Majors in Mathematics, Dr. Farman Chishti headed the Department of Islamic Thought that led to the first Islamic State in Syria. In addition, she is also the founding member of the Indian Association for Islamic Thought. Chishti is currently the President of the Islamic Awareness Foundation and the Secretary of the International Islamic Society of Pakistan. She has given lectures at leading universities in the US, Canada, UK, and the UK. Her career has included academic posts at the US State Department, Department of Homeland Security, the Congressional Research Service and was a professor at Duke University.
Ahmer Hassan
Ahmer Hassan was President of the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs from 1991 to 1996 and President of the Council of Asian Community Organization in 1995. He now heads the US Campaign for Muslim Reform and Democracy as well as the Muslim Law Caucus at the Georgetown Law Center. Ahmer has studied at Harvard University (Law/Politics), Oxford University (Economics), Columbia University (Law/Politics) and New York University (Civil Rights). He has also received an MBA at the London School, University of St. Andrews (Economics).
