Types of Jeans for Women
When it comes to choosing the right types of jeans for women there is a plethora of different styles that can suit each woman. The styles of women’s jeans differ based on how you want to show your body and how much of your clothing coverage you need. Some types of jeans for women may flatter certain body shapes more than others. See general tips for each body type:
See which styles of women’s jeans are best for you by trying them on: straight leg styles, boot cut styles, flare leg styles, full-length styles, and low rise styles. You can then decide whether or not these styles will suit you best depending on the type of look that you are going for. Also try to see if the fabric of the jean matches your skin tone: dark colors tend to contrast lighter skin tones, light colors can hide skin tones that are darker than them, and pastels and creams can hide skin that is too dark. Also look to see if the back pocket of the jeans is zippered, if the jeans have an alternative zipper that is comfortable and functional, and if the back pocket of the jeans is hidden.
Look to see if the waistband of the jeans hug around your hips or if they flare out at the top of your hips. If they hug around your hips but flare out at the top of your hips, you will want to avoid the flared leg style of jeans. The flared leg style of jeans tends to be best for slim individuals that have narrow hips and thighs: they can show off their legs and also elongate your body but if you have an ample boot cut then you may want to go with the skinny jeans as they will make your boot cut look smaller.
