The 2021 fashion trends that have been revealed so far are showing us a new form of youth culture. One can only imagine what the next generation will be like if the current high school fashion trends continue on as they are. Some high schools have adopted a punk/alternative/rock attitude, such as the Alternative School Uniform which has taken over many schools across the nation. This school’s colors are black and white, which represents the spirit of punk rock.
But other schools have gone even further in promoting their social consciousness, such as the “No Bull” attitude and the “High Five” fashion statement. Some schools have adopted a very unique approach to high school fashion, where the students to dress alike, but carry out very different actions. The “No Bull” approach promotes unity among the students, while the “High Five” fashion statement embraces five people from opposite sides of the high school, who form a five-man team to create a new image. This approach to fashion was made popular by the movie 300. However, this is not the only way that high schools have adopted similar fashion trends.
Other high schools have created entirely new trends of their own. For instance, the New York City school decided to implement a completely vegan lifestyle after observing that most of their student’s diet consisted of soy products. This means that each and every student is required to eat only soy products and no animal meat, dairy products, or processed food. Some other high schools have followed suit, such as the Dallas Independent School District which went to such an extreme that they banned students from eating cow chips at school. Such extreme diets are quite popular with the adolescents and younger children nowadays, and they are slowly taking over high school fashion.
