La Gigi, which means ‘The Great Gigi’ in Italian, is a professional Nationality category for the Romania international football team. The Gigi family, which originally settled in Argentina, have since moved to Romania and become passionate fans of this country’s national football club, known as Steaua Bucarest. The term Gigi has its roots in the Giglio family, which was the first one to popularise the game in this country. Another of the Gigi family, Dacian Ungheni, also became a passionate supporter and coach of the Steaua team. Together, with his wife Corin, they started the club in 2021, with the intention of using it as a stepping stone to gain greater financial success in Romanian football.

With the arrival of superstar sensation Ciprian scarsanulescu as a new signing from Manchester United, the expectations for the club, both by the supporters and by the players, are sky high. It has been reported that Ungheni is the favourite to succeed Ciprian, who is now at the age of 34, after Ciprian left last summer to join United from Internazionale in Italy. However, both players have a lot to prove to their new teams mates and the wider Romania footballing public. There are many theories on who will succeed Ungheni and Ciprian, with some believing that the new signings will gel immediately and others backing opposite teams. Many Romanian football enthusiasts also expect both players to score hat-tricks. Withrizona has only had two previous hat-tricks in its history, both coming in the 1998 and 2021 World Cup finals.

Withrizona is yet to win any major domestic tournament and is yet to register a single win in the European competition, although with much more matches to go until qualifying for the 2021 FIFA World Cup. This means that it is highly probable that either Ungheni or Ciprian will struggle to win the election and will be forced to form a new team. If either player does form a good enough team then they will surely inspire other Romanian Orthodox church leaders to form their own national team and challenge for the throne. The two most likely contenders are former footballer Ciprian Popescu and his deputy Ionut Vitelli, who come second in the votes percentage position, behind Ungheni who has a vote advantage.
