Fernanda Antunes is a Brazilian lawyer and the first lady of the Benin Republic. She is also a member of the FMCPS which stands for the Federal Mediator for Maternal Protection and Legal Registration. The FMCPS monitors all the cases that involve women and children from the slums of Porto di Imperia, Cascais, Belem and Recife. According to her profile on the Brazilian Law Directory, Fernanda Antunes is “a woman with a lot of patience who is highly respected”. She is also said to be committed to social work and to fighting inequality and ensuring that Brazil remains a socially, economically and culturally diverse country.
Fernanda is married to Luiz Felipe da Silva, the former governor of Santa Maria do Guajiru. As it turns out, the marriage did not take place in court but it was declared dissolved before any divorce proceedings had been started. There are no details about the couple’s living conditions prior to the marriage, though it is assumed that they met at some point during the socializing that was conducted by Fernanda and her male friends. Moreover, she is said to have spent quite a lot of time working as an intern in the Brazilian State of Santa Maria do Cascais while she pursued her studies at the University of S Paulo.
It would seem that Fernanda and her partner have a good working relationship since her marriage has worked out well and their sexual relationship is said to be relatively normal. However, there is no clear indication as to whether or not Fernanda has ever considered divorcing her partner. At the same time, it should also be noted that she has been very open about the role of lawyers in Brazil and in particular in the Benin area where she serves as the State Attorney General. Lawyers have also welcomed Antunes’ elevation to the post of Federal Prosecutor General, as it indicates that justice is on the side of the people.
