Emma Elwin is the fictional character of the famous stage and screenwriter Peter Shaffer, who wrote a play about her for BBC Radio 4’s drama series called Emma. She is played by actress Karen Allen, who also has the character of Miss Watson in Harry Potter Films. According to the biography of Miss Watson written by David Jamie, Emma was a young woman who worked as a clerk in a shop, but later went on to study law at University. After this she went into writing and from there got to know numerous famous writers including George Orwell, Arthur Conan Doyle and John Milton.

According to the biography, Emma Elwin kept very busy in her profession as she tried to understand public life and how people lived. She obviously did not like being in the spotlight and this led to her developing several personalities in different relationships, all of which happened to be successful. According to the biography, Elwin tried to be a housewife and mother and also tried her hand at being a writer, but these were to be unsuccessful. Emma Elwin was a much-celebrated socialite who enjoyed being with prominent men and never hid her feelings.

When we talk about the profession of Emma Elwin, it is clear that she was more of an artist than anything else. She had a collection of famous poems printed on silk and she even produced some works of art that are now available at the British Museum in London. In fact according to the writings of David Jamie, Emma Elwin used to come home from work and sit down in front of a blank Word document and write the poem of love which was used to mark the start of a new literary career. However, this ended abruptly when her husband died of lung disease and Emma Elwin never recovered from the shock of his death.
