Juliana Kanyomozi grew up with two very strong characters in her life – her mother and her Congolese mother. Both played an enormous role in shaping the young Kanyomozi into the person she is today. As a child, Juliana was apprenticed to a seamstress before she decided to pursue a career as a singer. It was at this time that she began to hone her musical skills as she honed her craft with a view to one day be a pop star like her idol, Madonna. She was so good she was encouraged by her uncle to try out for the Uganda National Symphony Orchestra in order to get an opportunity to sing and perform on the stage.
It was this career that would transform Kanyomotto from a shy and modest girl who rarely if ever had the chance to meet her partner to a woman who literally walked on the moon. As a child, Juliana was an extremely good violin player who showcased her beauty as a vocalist by learning all that she could from her first-hand encounter with classical music. Even at the early age of 14, she already knew what she wanted to do with her life: become a world-famous singer and become a household name. Her early experiences on the piano also inspired the many songs that would flow out of her mouth, some of which would become hits and would even go on to become famous around the globe. She was nominated for four Emmys in the year 2021, which is one of the most ever awarded in a single year.
After leaving school, Kanyomotto pursued a career in painting and photography. However, when a chance came for her to be cast as the lead role in a popular television drama in Africa, she knew that she had to rise to the challenge. It was this determination that would see her make it to the top of the heights of stardom, where she is today and looking forward to more challenges in the future.
