Clare Polkinghorne is a versatile Australian international professional soccer player who currently plays for Vittsj Hof GIK in the Sweden Superliga. She is a right back who plays right wing and also holds the position of goalkeeper. She is tall at the age of 22, which makes it difficult for her to get selected on the national team for Australia, as young players have to be of a certain age and height. Despite this she has made history by becoming the first female to represent the Socceroos in the modern era, which is very impressive and gives her a great deal of confidence.
Clare grew up in Australia as a rugby player and even started playing soccer when she was young, which is quite impressive as compared to many other female players. She joined the Vittsj Hof in 2021, where she progressed through the ranks quickly and was named the team player of the year after scoring four goals in her first eleven appearances. After this she went on to play for SA Federal University and then Victoria University College, where she became a vice president of the debating society. It was here that she found her partner and remains together to this day.
Clare Polkinghorne’s partner at the moment is 25-year-old Michael Graben, whom she met while playing table tennis with him whilst at Vittsj Hof. They are extremely happy with their choice of partner and are slowly developing their relationship as a couple. However, they both know that the commitment involved in a professional sport relationship is immense and is not for everyone. In fact, it is fair to say that their relationship has been tough, but they are determined to make it work.
