The Nutrition Revolution by Lisa Novelle

When Lisa Novelle, a writer for the United States National Park Service, decided to quit her job as a biological anthropologist, she could not imagine the obstacles that lay in her way to finding a new vocation. Despite her strong enthusiasm for the National Park Service, Lisa was not able to pursue her dream due to her height, race, and gender. When the park service needed someone to write an article on how race and nationality affect height and weight gain, Lisa was the perfect candidate. The article she wrote would not have been possible without the help of a nutritionist, who monitored her nutritional intake, and motivated her to eat healthier.

Aged forty-three, Lisa had always believed that her optimal height would remain unchanged unless she became a professional wrestler or developed some miraculous body building prowess. She was devastated when, after trying for years to lose weight with no success, she learned that her physical attributes, such as her thick, wide chest and large firm breasts were genetically linked with her nationality and her height. Height growth hormone (HGH), which is secreted by the pituitary gland just below the ovaries, is essential for maintaining optimal bone density and maintaining the integrity of connective tissues like cartilage. Unfortunately, HGH production decreases with age, so by the time one reaches middle age, HGH production has slowed down, leading to thinning bones and muscle loss.

In order to retain her passion for her vocation, Lisa turned to nutrition for support. Her nutritionist, Mrs. Claire Ward, taught her what foods to eat to increase HGH levels and how much of those foods to eat at each meal. To keep up with her busy schedule of taking care of her husband, Lisa was forced to become creative in her cooking habits. She reduced her grease, fat, and high calorie diet, and replaced some of her favorite junk foods with low fat, low cholesterol foods. By following a strict diet based on nutrition and a vigorous exercise program, Lisa managed to maintain her ideal height and weight, and to find love and companionship in her later years.
