Trends in fashion have changed dramatically over the last couple of years. Many designers are experimenting with colors and prints. The trend for this year is more sophisticated than ever with muted pastel tones, smooth textures and subtle highlights. Some designers chose to go with bold patterns such as stripes or plaids instead of the classic monochromatic neutrals like black, white, gray, brown and tan. In order to take advantage of these new trends, it is important to know what is in and what will be out in the coming fall and winter fashion trends.
Although the fashion experts aren’t likely to accurately predict everything, the current designs they produced for the fall / winter 2021 season reflected this mood. In addition to the usual neutral shades, different chic patterns appeared on the catwalk, from flat black trousers to rent-to-own retro tees. The most interesting trend to emerge was the creation of glamorous and avant-garde styles with complex cuts and heavy embellishments. This wasn’t really surprising, as men and women alike are looking for a return to simpler times. In contrast to stiff clothing and understated motifs, fall/winter clothing with flair and ornamentation will set the stage for exciting fashion-oriented events and parties.
When we look back at the fall / winter trends from the past, many were influenced by current styles and trends. However, there was one essential element that stood out from the rest and that was the inclusion of denim. The combination of denim and high-waisted tops was a refreshing change from the usual boring and traditional pattern that were usually seen during this time. The introduction of bold colors and unique prints will undoubtedly provide another exciting element for fall/winter fashion trends.
