Maria Quiban, the Nationality of Puerto Rico and the Wife of Mexico’s first President, has been involved in quite a few public controversies and has sometimes been accused of crimes by the media. This article looks at both her career and personal life. Maria was born in Mazatlan (Haitian Republic) and became a US citizen at the age of eighteen. She was active in the Chicano movement during and after her years in the United States. During her time as a Puerto Rican Nationality, she was a prominent member of the Hispanic Nationality group that fought against discrimination in employment.

After marrying Jose P. Laurel in 1931, Quiban moved to New York City where she gave birth to eight children. Her marriage to Laurel ended up in divorce, with her citing financial difficulties as the reason for the union. Although there were no legal complications associated with her marriage to Laurel, critics alleged that it was not just money that was at stake but also her own Nationality and citizenship. Eventually, Maria relocated to Guayaquil, Mexico, where her political views aligned more with that of Castro’s government.

Maria Quiban worked hard for the remaining members of her family in Puerto Rico. As a nurse, she cared for many patients who lived in squalid conditions. Despite her dedication and hard work, Maria became depressed over her inability to care for her husband and children. In order to escape domestic chores, she decided to travel to New York City in the hopes of finding a job. Unfortunately, upon arrival in New York, Quiban was told that she could not stay because her age would bars her from working. Shortly thereafter, Maria was officially a US Citizen by way of an immigrant visa.
