When Abigail Strock became a blogger she started to blog under the name “Abigail’s Chiffon Diary”. In her bio-page for herself she wrote, “I am an American Blogger from Texas. My interests in dressing are historical and romantic, particularly style, but also about fashion and antiques. I am married and have three daughters whom I love dearly. In my journal, I document my adventures as well as my musings on life, love, family, faith and relationships.” Then one day Abigail started writing a series of articles called “The Nationality of Ladies” where she discusses dressing for both gender.
She also talks about the different styles that suit different body types and what clothes work on certain bodies as well as discussing what colors look best on certain faces. It is clear that Abigail has strong views on what American women should wear, especially in regards to clothing styles and appearances. In her first article, she states “the key to looking great is choosing the right clothes for the occasion, and having the attitude to carry them out.” The articles in the Nationality of Ladies Collection are clearly intended to advise readers of what to wear at different ages. The best result for the reader is to pick out a particular outfit and then combine it with appropriate accessories to create a particular look that fits the occasion.
The articles are not only about personal looks and what is hot or not in the current fashion, but also discusses careers and law enforcement. It seems to be that Abigail Strock wants everyone to know the reality of crime in America and the ways people who commit crimes can be identified and caught by law enforcement. The Nationality of Ladies Collection is designed to provide guidance to readers of all ages on what to do if they are discovered to be involved in any criminal activity. Abigail has combined her interest in fashion and her knowledge of law enforcement to present an informative yet entertaining read. I am very happy that we have an example of a former police officer who is so involved in the latest trends in police procedure and law to educate others.
