The Nationality Factor

Olly Casey is currently serving as a judge in the Southern District of New York, where he oversees the cases of several elderly people who were abandoned by their parents as children. Because of his extensive legal education, he knows just how to pick winning lottery numbers, and he’s applied that skill to his business ventures, which have earned him millions. He was born in Brooklyn, New York City, and because of his unusual height (6′ 4″), he was frequently taken out of play during his youth, forcing him to learn on the job. As a result, he pursued a varied range of careers, including car salesman, stockbroker, truck driver, and the gym teacher.

Olly Casey grew up in what was considered a bad part of town in Brooklyn, New York City, and that is where his unusual background and winning-odds mentality started. Though he was born within what is now the borough of Kingsbridge in what used to be primarily a Polish Catholic district, he was home-schooled for much of the time by his grandmother, a Quaker. Although he never lost touch with his father, he never attended his father’s funeral and never really formed a lasting relationship with his half-brother, who was very close to him. But Olly made an effort to keep in contact with Antonie, whom he considered a good friend.

As a result of Antonie’s death, Olly decided to pursue a different sort of legal career, one that would put more focus on winning than on lining his partner’s pockets. In recent years, he’s developed a line of work that caters exclusively to people of different nationalities: he designs suits for executives who are of Greek or Italian descent, and he’s been known to create clothing lines for people of Japanese or Russian decent. The most compelling aspect of Olly’s career thus far has been the consistent success of his partnerships. He’s had the rare luck of working with both a rap star and a talk show host, and he’s even managed to get a job as an actor on a popular television show.
