Italian fashion trends are not always easy to follow, much less feel good about when you are wearing your new Italian top. However, it can be difficult to get through most of the season without putting a few bits of your own Italian fashion trends into practice. If you have been following any fashion trends for more than a few days, you will notice that many of the new Italian fashions are making their way onto walkways around the world. So, if there is one thing you know for sure, it is that you have to be prepared to make changes as Italian fashions become more popular. This does not mean, however, that you have to become a fashionista before you can feel comfortable with a new Italian top.
That being said, an outfit must seem carefree but still dress appropriately. Practice the art of finding an entirely-put-together, perfectly-placed-on-body outfit that seems like you just threw it onto a dress you just put on yourself. Dress down or dress up, whatever suits your fancy. There is no reason to feel self-conscious about wearing a short skirt if you are going to a wedding or even a ball. For a fun night out, invite over some friends and hit the town in your favorite little Italian dress while you chill out with drinks and good conversation (in Italian of course).
Most of the time, young Italians wear clothes that are similar to those of their parents and grandparents. With that being said, it is important to always keep in touch with the current fashion trends of the Diaspora. This way, you can stay on top of what is happening in your own neighborhood, which is usually a lot more stylish than what many of you are probably used to seeing in the mall. You may not be able to afford the best clothes in Italy, but at least you can feel comfortable knowing that someone somewhere is looking at your outfit and judging whether or not it looks good on you.
