Ingrid Giovinazzo is a professional artist and a painter who specialize in acrylic paintings of nude women. Her work frequently appears in galleries and has won several prestigious awards. Ingrid began her career as an illustrator before pursuing her artistic career in painting, photography, and printmaking. She married Italian wine merchant Mario Giampolo, who died in 1968, is leaving Ingrid to raise their young son, Stefano.

Ingrid first worked as a secretary in a printing company, where she honed her skills as a typist and secretary before going to work for a painting dealer in New York City. She met and married Mario in September of that year, becoming pregnant with their first child, Enzo, in November. When Ingrid gave birth to their second child, Gypsy, in January of the following year, they decided to move to Paris, where they opened a studio on rue Saint Martin. It was here that Ingrid began to meet and fall in love with young men, some of whom became life partners for the rest of their lives. These relationships blossomed into long-term professional relationships with men who provided financial stability for Ingrid and Gypsy.

Although her professional years had largely been devoted to art, her personal life had blossomed by this time. She had married and had a child, and in addition to painting, she dabbled in writing and photography. Ingrid’s own paintings often appear on the canvas as solo displays, but many of them were part of larger works that show her versatility as an artist. A career as a teacher also developed for Ingrid, although she continued to paint, and later, taught art history at a private high school in Manhattan. After several years living in Paris and getting to know some of the other well-known artists who had come from Italy, Ingrid decided that she wanted to pursue a career as a writer, which she did for several years under the name Anna dosso.
