The Hottest Trends For the 1982 Vintage Year

Fashion trends tend to change every six months or so, but in the case of the fashion trends for the 1982 vintage year, we are seeing an almost complete retro revival. A lot of people believe that the fashion industry started moving back to the ’80s, and I guess you could say that some of that was indeed true. However, the fashion trends from that period have been collecting dust for quite some time, and it’s only recently that they have begun to revive. Here are a few facts about fashion trends for the past two decades, which you may find interesting.

While the fashion industry has certainly not ignored women’s clothing, they have certainly not made any sort of massive progress toward equality with men. Men still wear suits, and they wear their ties as well, but when it comes to the outerwear, it is overwhelmingly masculine. The only fashion trends which give women some kind of advantage are those which require more versatility in their wardrobe. For instance, the leather dress with stilettos was very popular in the eighties, but since then, no woman worth anything has dared to wear that exact same style.

So, what are the new fashion trends for the year? Well, it seems that this autumn will see the most wild and crazy collection of clothes that you can imagine. Women will be wearing their favorite pastel-colored dresses, and they will also be experimenting with layered clothing and even animal prints. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the traditional leather skirt is going to be forgotten entirely. You can still wear it, but if you want it to look more feminine and ladylike, you can layer it with a blouse in a more fitted material or a t-shirt with a more fitted neckline.
