In this article I will highlight the difference between fashion and trend. Fashion is what most people think of when they hear the word ‘fashion’. Fashion on the face of it seems straightforward, you wear what suits you, dress according to the trend, that and everything else should be fine, but in essence it is very different. Trends come and go, fashions are forever changing.
For example in the last few years there has been a massive shift in the way that men’s dress. Gone are the days when a suit was the only choice for a working man. Nowadays working men are more adventurous, they want to look fashionable and at the same time get the respect and attention from their colleagues. There are a lot of different fashion trends that can suit each man.
The difference between fashion and trend is that trends come and go, but not until a new fashion style becomes popular. Fashion is something that stays around for ever longer because it is both fun and exciting. You never know what the future holds so I guess it is better to play it safe and timeless than to try and create a fad that will be gone before you know it.
