The Cute Sock Bunny
The holidays are here again and no sew sock hop ideas are in abundance, so what do you do? Easter is not nearly as jam packed with fun, variety, or inexpensive crafts as it once was. Easter was one of the first “cultural” holidays to rise from the Dark Ages and spread its traditions across the world. This means that Easter is one of the easiest crafts to master since there is no limit on what you can do or how you do it. Socks are a wonderful item to use in your Easter craft. Whether you prefer soft or fluffy bunnies, these cute little feeties can be made from almost anything.
One no sew sock bunny that I am sure that your child will love is called the Hot Glupe Eyes and it is so cute that even a child could not help but put it on. These come in a set of three and they are so cute that you can put one on, put the other two back on, and then put one on the other person’s nose. This would be a really fun party game and you do not need any eggs or candy canes to practice this game. These are perfect for Easter because you can also wash them in the sink after use.
The second bunny that I would like to introduce you to is called the Sock Hoppin’ Heel and it is so cute that even a newborn baby boy would be able to take a piece of this and use it to play with. There are a couple of materials that you will need to make this and all you need is white construction paper, a pair of scissors, and black felt (to line the bottom of the bunny’s paws) and you are all set. Take the hot glue and apply it to both sides of the black felt and slowly stretch it out until you get a good fit between the top of the ears and the bottom of the foot. Then carefully glue the bottom to the top of the ears and the top to the bottom of the paw. Then twist the bottom of the ears, so that it is tighter and give the little guy some time to play.
