In this period of renaissance, painterly style came into being as Paola Panzeri, also known as Panzer was one of the most famous painters from the time she began her career. She joined the Salon des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where she worked until she was thirty-five when she retired and started a family. It was here that she began to develop a deep friendship with the famous painter Prospero Bellini who encouraged her to continue with her artistic career even when she was working hard at being a family woman. This led her to have many paintings of flowers which can be found in various museums all over Europe and beyond.

As time passed by, they fell in love and married each other and later their beautiful daughter was born. But even when their marriage was arranged it did not stop them from going to the same Salon des Beaux-Arts to get their paintings approved. This is why, it is said that when the two of them started having children, their relationship soured and they separated for quite sometime. However, when they reconciled, they remained good friends and their long marriage were a manifestation of their profession, art and faithfulness.

When Panzeri’s husband died while she was away from the home she immediately returned to her profession and after some years she passed away and left behind a legacy, a work which is still visible throughout Europe to this day. Her life and her art were a witness to the dedication, persistence and patience of a true artist, willing to make the commitment and go through the pain to make something beautiful out of her life. It is only through such dedication and patience that she was able to complete so many works which are still exhibited around the world. It is due to her long term partner who supported her to keep going that she felt she could not leave her husband behind and decided to continue in her painting career.
