Francesca Schiavone was born in Turin, Italy. At the age of 17, she began playing tennis professionally, initially with a local club in Genoa, Italy. Later, she moved to Paris, where she continued her career for two years with an Italian team before joining Zverex Arnolds in Denmark. Eventually, she returned to Europe, signing for Fiat in Austria, but made herself available to play for any top-level international team when Jo-Wilfred Tsonga became injured. Finally, with the French National Team, she has made a name for herself as one of the best players in the world.
Francesca Schiavone isn’t a full-time national team athlete. She has represented her country on the circuit and has, however, always been open about her passion for tennis and her willingness to accept help from people who are willing to support her in her efforts.
