Sandra Puff is currently a contestant on America’s Got Talent and has recently gained a lot of attention. Her bio-pic, “Sandra Puff: The Professionals Guide,” focuses on three of the aspects of Puff’s personality which are often misrepresented in an unfavorable light in popular culture, which is basically that she is a show girl. She has been compared to both diva singers Pitbull and Avril Lavigne, and although many may not realize it, Puff actually has a great sense of fashion. She was also recently discovered on American Idol where she performed a cover of Pitbull’s hit,” Talks That Speak,” which may have made her famous. But what is interesting to note is that in her appearance on this reality show, Sandra Puff portrayed herself as being far more stable than the diva icons that she is often depicted as.

The interesting part about Sandra Puff’s appearance on America’s Got Talent is that this was in spite of being overweight, as she is on paper at a size 6. In actuality, Puff is probably a bit underweight considering her well-sculpted physique, but her acting abilities make her look significantly heavier than she really is. This is odd, considering that she is shown as being rather athletic in her appearance on the show, and yet weighs a very manageable amount for someone who is of normal weight. This could be due to the fact that she has been portraying herself as someone who is both incredibly talented and successful in her chosen profession, even though she is clearly not. This mischaracterization of her character has done real damage to the public image of the Puff, because people are left with the incorrect impression of what kind of a performer she really is. As a result of this distortion, there is now a national platform which celebrates Puff’s achievements while glamorizing her weight.

Even though America’s Got Talent has managed to do this in a tasteful way, the problem with the misrepresentation of Puff’s character is that it leaves other viewers with the false impression that she is some kind of a fat, disgusting child who should never be taken seriously in any talent competition. This could have serious consequences for the careers of many young women who are looking up to Sandra Bullock as a role model. Hopefully, producers of America’s Got Talent will avoid these kinds of mistakes in the future. Otherwise, young girls could be led to think that they won’t make it in the show business if they don’t act a certain way, regardless of their actual physical appearance.
