Sam Koffi) and Matt Walsh (Penguins) are all expected to return.
Mikael Granlund, who’s also still recovering from shoulder surgery, is the only healthy defenseman out, so he’s not expected to do much other than get a game up, and he’s certainly not a lock to make the 18.
That leaves Ryan Suter, Jason Demers, Jonas Brodin, Eric Staal, Jared Spurgeon and Josh Archibald on the fourth line together.
They’re projected to make up for all the injuries, so they should be able to score a lot of goals and be a solid two-way unit.
In fact, a lot of them should be used to make a good second line and third line, and that makes sense considering the situation they’re in right now.
We’ll keep track of who makes the roster and what position they play in the list below. We’ll update it as the preseason starts.
Let’s take a look at the projected Jets lines based on what we’ve saw thus far this preseason.
