One of the most riveting and thought-provoking characters in National Geographic’s “Guerilla Marketing” series is Abigail Gutierrez. Abigail is an attractive, thin, and young model from Mexico. Abigail developed an intense interest in the life of the model and the profession of modeling after her friend Maribel del Riego. The two women became close friends and later, when Abigail was working as a model for another company, they decided to cross paths once again. By chance, Abigail had met Jose Cano, who became suspicious of her and urged her to go on a trip to New York with him. Cano offered to help her financially in exchange for having Abigail break up with her old agent, Jose Velasco.

In the following episode, “NAH,” Abigail and Jose go to Mexico to continue their business partnership. While there, Abigail meets and starts dating Jose’s associate, Alejandra Delgado. The two nationalities clash, and Abigail continues to pursue her goals of working abroad, while Jose tries to stick with his own career. The conflict between the nationalities spills over into the personal lives of Abigail and Jose. Eventually, Abigail realizes that she has fallen in love with Jose but is too shy to tell him in front of her friends or anyone else.

“NAH” continues in the same manner as the first episode. Jose gets the drop of the new relationship, but Abigail does not share the news with her family or friends until it is too late. When Jose brings her to lunch, she realizes that she has changed and notices that her hair has grown very long. Her height increases once she is introduced to her new, rich, and American boyfriend, although she still retains her Mexican nationalities. The romantic tension between Abigail and Jose grows, but it never reaches the boiling point until Jose asks her out to a baseball game, which she gladly accepts.
