Francesca Dego is a professional model from Saks and the mother of two beautiful children, ages six and four. Having finally earned the professional right to wear her own name on her own name tag, she has been invited to appear on one of the popular daytime shows in America, daytime TV’s “Good Morning America.” This is where Francesca first made her name known, as a guest blogger. She blogs about her life, the things she likes and the things that bother her. In one of her earliest appearances on the show she discussed her height difference, as being 5 feet ten inches and being a Hispanic woman, she was often referred to as being short.

As you can imagine, Francesca’s parents are very proud of their daughter and naturally want her to have the perfect body and face that they have come to expect. In response, Francesca made a statement through her blog where she discussed her height difference and her frustration with the height difference society creates through beauty standards. It is hard for women of any race or ethnicity to find clothing that fits correctly, flatteringly, and creates a sense of self worth without it being created by beauty. For Francesca Dego, who is proud of her body, it seems as though the only way for her to get that recognition is by addressing her own issues of body image through writing about them.

Over the past several years Francesca has managed to gain the trust and respect of her family and friends. This has greatly increased her self-confidence, which will benefit her when it is time to look for work and whether or not she chooses to date within her own ethnic group. Regardless, of what you think about her opinions on height, whether she chooses to express them or not, Francesca Dego is an amazing person and a good example of what true success looks like. Being an ethnic woman with large physical differences, she also faced many challenges and triumphs. All of her successes, both personally and professionally, can be attributed in part to the hard work she put into both of her writing careers, and as a result she is truly living her dreams.
