Karramkam Angie is the story of a young woman from a relatively new part of Thailand, who finds herself caught up in a relationship that takes off but quickly slides back down to a new level of passion when it slides back down. Angie is an exotic Asian from a small province in Thailand who finds herself involved with a rather wealthy entrepreneur from the States. This man promises her many things including a much sought-after position as a high-profile executive. In exchange for large sums of money, he promises to show her around Thailand and show her the other people and culture of this beautiful country. With all this going for it, the seemingly perfect relationship quickly sours as Angie slowly finds herself falling out of love.

Soon, Angie is traveling on a business trip when she meets a certain man from the States. Once she gets the chance to know him better, she realizes that her heart belongs to someone else and that this man is only using her as a way to get his own way. Now with this realization in her mind, she is determined to get away from her millionaire boyfriend and take matters into her own hands. It is here that the story begins to take an interesting turn as the reader is introduced to a new character, Nationality, who shows Angie a glimpse into the world of outsourcing and what it means to those who use it.

As the relationship between Angie and Nationality deepens, the tension grows. Nationality tries to give Angie the kind of attention that she used to get in her home country. The two are so incredibly different that Angie has difficulty understanding how she can keep the relationship going. Eventually, the reader learns that it is impossible for any relationship to last when both parties have completely different personalities and desires.
