Recycled socks are becoming more popular these days. They were once only seen on the runways of high-class fashion shows. Recycled socks are now worn by both men and women, and they have started to catch on as a new trend. You may have noticed recycled socks on the backs of celebrities such as paddleball player Evan Rachel Wood and NASCAR driver Mark Martin. Not only is it a trendy item but it’s also eco-friendly.

The process of recycling yarn is very interesting. Yarn is taken from old plastic bottles and textile manufacturers make socks out of it. A special dye is put on the yarn to make it brighter than the plastic bottles that it is taken from. After the dye is put on the bottles the boxes are melted together and the socks are made out of them.

Recycled socks are made by the process of using fabric glue and wool in the place of plastic bottles. This way the factories are not polluting the environment by releasing dangerous waste into the air. Another good reason to wear recycled socks is because they will keep you dry and will make your feet feel softer and dry.
