Her career started when she was only 11 years old and the very first of her performances was at the Sydney Comedy Festival where she did a series of sketches that were as hilarious as they were memorable. Over the years her skills have progressed to the point where she is today one of the most popular stand up comedians in Australia who is known for both her wit and her down-to-earth style.

Lisa’s native tongue is English but she has also spent a considerable amount of time in New Zealand as well as performing throughout Australia, as well as in many other locations around the world. Lisa’s nationality is Australian but through a combination of both her birth and Australian parents, she is described as having British nationality (although this is not legally recognised by any government in Australia). As a result, her citizenship is currently in the New Zealand category, as is her long-standing commitment to perform in various English-speaking countries. The woman known as Lisa is described by her personal friend and fellow comedian Amy Lawrence as being “a super smart person” who is very much able to mix with people from different backgrounds. She enjoys spending her free time interacting with people from both her nationalities and her profession as stand up comedian is one of those activities.

Lisa’s proudest accomplishments in her career have been her successes on both the microphone and the stage. Her numerous credits as a stand up comic have led to appearances on numerous award-winning television shows including Late Night With David Letterman and The Daily Show. In 2021, she was even asked to join the Royal Variety Club, an organisation that selects new members every year. Her wide variety of credits also includes stints on the TV sitcom Home Improvement, a role on the massively popular BBC show Love Actually and a feature film titled The Squid and the Whale, which was a box office success. All of these endeavors have helped to give her a number of awards including an OBE (honorary) in 2021 for her contributions to British comedy and an academy fellowship for outstanding achievement in comedy in 2021.
