Ashley Hatch is an American football player who plays as a forward for Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League, of which is part of the Professional Women’s National Football League (NWSL). She has also been a regular for the US women’s national team, which is coached byability former MLS player and current LA Galaxy head coach Curt Onalfo. The 24-year-old Ashley is currently a free agent and has not signed with any teams, however her contract with the Spirit will expire at the end of this season. Ashley is from Maryland but is originally from the state of Virginia. It is therefore no surprise that she would be playing for the Socceroos. Ashlee’s international career started when she was just 17 years old.
Ashley started out at Virginia Commonwealth University where she played the guard and goalkeeper. She went on to play for the College Hockey Association for two seasons before transferring to the University of Maryland where she joined the Terrapin University women’s basketball team where she played three seasons of basketball. She then played four seasons at the University of Miami before graduating in 2021. After graduation she signed with the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the North American Soccer League (NASL) where she spent the next three and a half seasons.
Ashley was then approached by Curt Onalfo to join the New York Cosmos B Team where she played right back. However, in July of 2021 she moved to North Carolina where she is now known as Ashley Hatch. With the recent introduction of the Women’s National Team into the MLS Women’s Major League Soccer (MLS Wyscalk) league, Ashley has become one of the favorites among the players and fans alike who are very familiar with her.
