Steve Carbone is a partner at Wilson, Bracken & Kjaer. He specializes in personal Injury Claims and represented the City of New York in its successful defense of Stop and Comers. Prior to his work with the City of New York, he was a principal assistant to New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer for six years. He also worked with the FBI as a staff attorney.
Steve Carbone has written many books on personal injury law, including “ACL: Contested Lawsuits and Civil Offences in the Workplace”, which was praised by New York Magazine as one of the best books on workplace safety of the past decade. The ACL book described in great detail how Carbone represented the City of New York in its fight against cigarettes and won. After the book was published, Wilson & Company hired Carbone to be an acting general counsel and oversee the company’s litigators. As such, he represents the company in both state and federal cases.
Steve Carbone is an American citizen and was born in Harlem. His parents, Yusef and Ruth (nee Carbone), were lawyers, and he continued to practice law while receiving his law degree from Harvard University. This is not the first time that he has used his title of partner to refer to a certain individual or a firm; prior to joining Wilson & Company, he worked at several other firms.
