“This will not have to be the end. Because of all this, no one will ever truly know what happened, or if this incident was even all real. We are not responsible, although the things that will happen are the result of all the things that should have happened, which is precisely why this incident will be passed down through generations.

“It was a beautiful sight in the middle of the night. Even though I know it is a dream, it makes me excited to think back to those wonderful times,” adds Pamela.

It is still unclear how the girl died. Her family have offered no details with their last plea for news.

It is not known whether the girl was actually killed, or if she was kidnapped before she was killed.

However, the girl’s brother told police he believed she was abducted.

According to the police report: “The boy was last seen on the night of 15 December at the entrance of the home where he had lived for a year. He said that the girls took him against his will to the side yard. He stated that he was led into the yard, which was dark, but it turned out to be a very nice one. I had been playing outside as usual with my friends.”

The family had lived at the park in the Morningside Heights area for around a year.

A friend who visited the park with their parents had said they were “happy and relaxed” there when they were not at family gatherings.

The family were reported missing on Monday but were later located at their family home in the Hillsborough area of the city.

Pamela was one of the park’s popular resident who often stayed on to take pictures.

A candlelight vigil was held by the family on Friday night to mark the anniversary.
