The Best Of The Best (The Best Of Pablo Sosa)

The Best Of The Best: Pablo is a beautiful album of songs inspired by, among other things, his experience growing up as the son of a Puerto Rican immigrant family in Manhattan. While the best of his work has mostly been in the instrumental and instrumental-heavy vein, this release is as versatile as its title imply: some of the songs have the same melody as a Stevie Wonder track, others are as beautiful as the likes of Jamiroquai or The White Stripes, others are as funky as a Pixies tune; some are rockin’ as a Travi$ Scott album, and everything in between. The album itself is a masterpiece, and if you’re a fan of Pablo, this is the album for you.

Songs: 1 – 13 of The Best Of The Best

“SOS,” “Good Morning,” “La Canra, La Canra,” “Lust in the Night,” “Juan De La Land,” “Amerigo,” “Cha-Cha,” “En Vivo, I Love You,” “It Never Comes To Me, It Never Goes,” “Pas de Bolsa,” “The Best And The Brightest,” “Pablo Sosa,” and the final song, “Rocoto,” are a perfect introduction to Sosa’s world. The album’s final song, “Rocoto,” begins with the gorgeous lyric “there’s no way, there’s nothing that will ever break you from your dreams.” If that wasn’t incredible enough, Sosa has some of the best lyrics in all of rap. “I’ve had a dream of a man/He never stood here at the club/The boy we are now/Is one of my best/And I want more of those boy boys/It never comes to me.”
