Isabelle Cornish is an Australian actor. She has most notably played different characters in television shows such as Casualty, The Mentalist, Hawaii Five-O and Caprica. She is best known for her starring role in Home and Away and Puberty Blues, though she has also achieved success on stage. She has brown eyes and was born in Australia.

Isabelle Cornish has different views on nationality. She considers herself a proud Australian and says that she would never leave if the opportunity arose. She even wrote an article for the Sydney Morning Herald titled “I am an Australian by Right”, wherein she talks about how hard it was to leave Australia after her marriage. She states that being an Australian is like being at home, and that there are many similarities to growing up as an Australian. However, she is adamant that she is an English person, because her parents were both English.

She is of English descent, but was raised with her grandparents who are British. Her mother is of West African descent and was a maid before she was an actress. She has three sisters and one brother. Isabelle was six years old when her parents divorced when she was four years old and was raised in foster homes for a short period of time before her parents returned to Australia. From there, she attended the Adelaide Hills High School and then went to college, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Education with a concentration in education.
