Yasmin Levy was born in Nazareth, Israel. At the age of seven, her family moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was always interested in music and performing, even at such a young age. At the age of 14, she managed to get signed to Urban Tenors, and this gave her the opportunity to perform in various popular nightclubs, as well as in movies. Currently, she is active as a member of the band Boredoms.

Throughout the course of her musical career, Yasmin Levy has established herself as one of the most popular and highly respected Jewish actresses. Her resume includes such popular roles as Yehuda Gluck in The Secret, Ashkenazi Jews in Midsummer Night’s Dream, Dan Panorama in Yiddish, as well as appearances on stage in plays such as Love Actually and Hello Sunshine and Good Morning. While on stage, she also frequently wears a black-hued coat, which is considered appropriate attire by Jewish standards. Her height is listed at sixty-two inches, which would make her the second shortest serving member of the cast of Broadway’s revival of Julius Caesar, only behind Bette Midler. Her professional accomplishments have also earned her the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical or Comedy Series.

Levy is perhaps best known for her role as Natalia Levinson in the film version of Julius Caesar. However, throughout her career, she has portrayed a wide range of different characters, all with common traits in their nationality and occupation: loyal to their country, devoted to their profession, courageous, and intellectual. It should be noted that these traits are not exclusive to Jews, nor do they apply only to actresses of Jewish descent. All individuals can fall into this category, as an individual’s identity is not based solely on their ethnic identity.
