Modeling – Age and Position Play a Part

Yasmin Beuren is a talented model from France, and she has been modeling since the late eighties in fashion magazines such as “Thopard”. However, with her latest project as a presenter of the popular show “France Tastes” on Sky it’s clear that she has stepped into the limelight in a big way. Beuren is thirty years old, and her height is 5′ 8″ – just a couple of inches smaller than some of her contemporaries. The question many have is whether she has what it takes to succeed in the somewhat stiff world of showing off a body and making a living doing so.

In a world where we are more than ever concerned about our height, is Beuren able to cope with this? Will she be able to hold her own amongst the other models who may be vying for the same position? She is not alone, as there are many others who have parlayed a career in the modeling industry into acting or into publishing novels and various theatre roles. As the models continue to grow in age there will be more competition. However, there is still an increasing number of people who feel they can achieve anything they set out to do in any given field.

As one famous model once said, the key to any successful career in the modeling industry is persistence. And if one does decide to make a success of their endeavours then they must be willing to work hard, and perhaps harder still if their height is a hindrance. This is not the case in all professions, but in the world of food service the amount of patience that is required is immense. For some, it comes with the job, for others it doesn’t. It seems that few models find themselves with enough patience and strength to make a successful career.
