“We know who is responsible for these acts on Earth, in our hearts. We feel it within us. They are very powerful and harmful. ”

The National Academy of Sciences (NAS), based in the U.S., provides independent, non-partisan advice to the U.S. government on scientific and technological matters. The NAS is a private, nonprofit organization. We recommend you read their publications and reviews.

The following is an excerpt from “Waves, Whirlwinds, and Winds of Change: A Guide to Waves and Winds of Change”, a guide to the history and development of the Earth system.

“It is the nature of living things to be sensitive and to respond to the environment they exist in. The Earth is like the human body, which reacts to the environment itself. There are many variations in the way things respond. As we look at the Earth, we see, for example, that its atmosphere is constantly changing. It is the environment itself which controls the weather, and when there is not enough rain to wet the fields or the lands, the crops will not flower. The same with the atmosphere.

When the weather is too cold for the plants, they will die. Likewise, if the plants in the mountains turn out to be too cold, they will die. The same is the case with the atmosphere. When the winds blow hard, these things can be prevented from occurring, but so may be the weather, too.

It matters very little how strong the winds actually are. There could be gusts that blow so hard; there could be the coldest weather; or the strongest winds. Whatever the case, these things can create conditions which will change the life of the plants or animals.

There are also times when the wind blows so strongly that it does not just move the air, it transports things too. There are many times when wind breaks up the clouds over the ocean where the water is. Water vapor forms and floats up into the air, and then it condenses back into rain. When this happens, it is called a “wind break.”

When we do research, we find that the weather that we can see with our optical telescopes is not always as we expect. It is not always as we think it is. Sometimes we see a weather system where we see clouds, wind, rising or falling rain and ice
